Tin Soldier Productions (UK) Ltd was first established in 2012 to provide support for the directing work of Daniel Wilson. Since then the company has collaborated with many of the major UK broadcasters. Since the release of 'The Devil Went Down To Islington' in 2023 Tin Soldier made the decision to harness all the creativity, knowledge and experience of the company, refocus its ambition into film & TV production. 2024 saw Tin Soldier's first steps into production, producing 'Soul, Baby!', a dance-driven drama starring BAFTA winner Kathy Tyson. Daniel served as Executive Producer on the film which will reach screens in 2025.

It is Daniel's experience and imagination as an award-winning storyteller that drives the Tin Soldier's productions and collaborations.

Our ambition is to create a successful slate of productions that combine the experience and the creativity of the company to guarantee commercial and critical success while maintaining an open, responsible, accessible and inclusive approach to the creative process. Tin Soldier promises to be a company based on support, encouragement and unselfishness as well as one fuelled by the imaginations of everyone involved.

Tin Soldier is committed to providing opportunities for everybody to work in the film & TV industry. The company's goal is to create training programmes at the heart of every production using the model Daniel and business partner Martin Simms developed at Widescope Creative. Widescope's courses offer focussed training opportunities to applicants from all backgrounds. Martin & Daniel created a production-based learning system that provides a broad practical understanding of the industry that might otherwise have dismissed as being ‘elitist’ or ‘impossible’.
